Ben Heck Named General Manager, Payer, Provider & Technology at Point-of-Care Partners
The Tolan Group (TTG), a Hunt Scanlon Top 50 Healthcare Executive Search Firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Ben Heck as General Manager, Payer, Provider & Technology at Point-of-Care Partners, bringing more than 25 years of progressive leadership and consulting experience across healthcare strategy, operations, technology, and large-scale implementation.
Point-of-Care Partners (POCP) is an employee-owned health IT management consulting firm that helps healthcare organizations evaluate, develop, and implement effective health information management strategies. Working across the healthcare ecosystem, POCP advises payers, providers, technology organizations, and life sciences companies on issues ranging from strategy and market intelligence to interoperability, regulatory requirements, and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Prior to joining Point-of-Care Partners, Ben served as Senior Vice President of Citius Healthcare Consulting at CitiusTech, where he led a global healthcare consulting practice spanning payer, provider, and life sciences markets. In this role, he held responsibility for business strategy, financial performance, sales growth, service development, and client delivery while managing a global team of more than 500 consultants.
Previously, Ben spent more than 14 years with Change Healthcare and its predecessor, Emdeon, ultimately serving as President of Change Healthcare Consulting. He led the consulting business through periods of sustained growth and organizational change while overseeing strategy, client delivery, business development, and financial performance. Earlier, Ben was a founding partner of HTMS, a boutique healthcare consulting firm focused on payer strategy, technology, and business challenges that was acquired by Emdeon in 2010.
With his extensive experience leading healthcare consulting businesses and working across payer, provider, and technology markets, Ben is well positioned to guide POCP's Payer, Provider & Technology business. His combination of entrepreneurial leadership, commercial strategy, operational discipline, and healthcare IT expertise will support the firm's continued growth and ability to address complex client needs.
Ben holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.
