AUGUSTINE, FL - The Tolan Group (TTG), a Hunt Scanlon Top 50 Healthcare Executive Search Firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Ben Heck as General Manager, Payer, Provider & Technology at Point-of-Care Partners, bringing more than 25 years of healthcare consulting and leadership experience spanning payer, provider, life sciences, and healthcare technology.
Point-of-Care Partners (POCP) is an employee-owned health IT management consulting firm that helps healthcare organizations evaluate, develop, and implement strategies in a complex and rapidly evolving healthcare environment. The firm works across the healthcare ecosystem, providing expertise in strategy and market intelligence, education and research, multi-stakeholder program design and management, and regulatory resources.
In his new role, Heck will lead POCP's Payer, Provider & Technology business, drawing on his extensive background in healthcare consulting, business development, operational leadership, and large-scale technology initiatives. His experience managing consulting organizations with full P&L responsibility and building teams capable of delivering complex engagements positions him to support continued growth while strengthening client relationships across payer, provider, and health technology markets.
Prior to joining Point-of-Care Partners, Heck served as Senior Vice President of Citius Healthcare Consulting at CitiusTech, where he led a global consulting practice across payer, provider, and life sciences markets with responsibility for strategy, financial performance, sales, and delivery. Previously, Heck spent 14 years with Change Healthcare and its predecessor, Emdeon, ultimately serving as President of Change Healthcare Consulting. Earlier in his career, he was a founding partner of HTMS, a healthcare consulting firm focused on solving payer strategic, technology, and business challenges that was acquired by Emdeon in 2010.
Heck's appointment reflects Point-of-Care Partners' continued investment in leadership and its commitment to helping healthcare organizations navigate the intersection of business strategy, technology, and an evolving industry landscape.
Heck holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.
